Karen’s own life experiences have provided her with a greater ability and understanding of demonstrating unconditional positive regard, as she works passionately in her ministry of treating, educating, and encouraging you to break free from the chains of addiction and prosper into a healthy, fulfilling life. She has helped people become more successful in all areas of life; to identify and/or surpass their goals, overcome obstacles, meet challenges, and feel more alive. Karen works with individuals to support addiction recovery, change negative habits, improve relationships, and overcome life challenges.
Karen is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Clinician with 10 years of experience in the substance abuse field, specializing in working with individuals suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety, and legal issues.

Isaiah Dockett – LADC, Clinical Supervisor

I have diverse experience in working with individuals and families towards healing and finding the silver lining of discouraging life situations. As a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), I specialize in helping those impacted by addiction. I have also been successful in supporting people with difficulties outside of addiction. I would love to meet you wherever you are on your journey and reach the light at the end of the tunnel.

Debra Cannon – LADC
I earned my master’s in Human Services and Addiction Counseling at Liberty University. From there, I obtained my LADC and have been a practicing clinician since. I have years of experience providing clinical services to adults and adolescents throughout Connecticut. I am also a Clinically Certified Supervisor and have managed clinical caseloads as well as provided supervision of staff providing case management, along with residential programming. I have experience working with mental health and addiction needs, and working with individuals dealing with mental illness within the Department of Corrections. I also have experience working with gambling addictions, providing services to clients and family members while also providing awareness and understanding about problem gambling.

Eni Smith, M.D. M.P.H
Eni Smith, M.D. M.P.H. is an addiction medicine, behavioral medicine, and preventive medicine physician with a passion for bridging conventional medicine with holistic and complementary care. Dr. Smith earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Princeton University. She received her degree with honors and focused on a variety of neurobiological and neurodevelopmental conditions. She completed her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville and went on to pursue a Master’s in Public Health from Yale University. She began her internship training in pediatrics before transitioning to residency training in preventive medicine. She completed her medical education by pursuing a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Yale University/Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Smith is well-versed in treating substance use disorders, behavioral disorders, and behavioral addictions in pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations. She believes in a patient-centered approach to care and keeps abreast of the latest innovations and most novel therapeutics available in her field. She believes in treating the whole patient on a biological, psychological, and spiritual level and considers medicine to be not just a career but a calling.

Lakeia Young, LPCA
Lakeia is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) at Prosperity Counseling LLC and is currently pursuing her LPC to further expand her clinical scope. She specializes in mental health and addiction treatment, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and substance-use challenges. With a strong commitment to serving diverse populations, Lakiea works closely with adult men, children, and teens, helping them build coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and achieve personal stability. Her warm, direct approach allows clients to feel supported while working through trauma, life transitions, and recovery goals. Lakiea’s dedication to client growth and her expanding clinical expertise make her a highly valued member of the Prosperity Counseling team.

Mikaela Rivera-Irizarry, LCSW
Mikaela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a wealth of experience in outpatient, in-home, and residential settings. She offers individual, family, and couples counseling, as well as clinical supervision. As a trauma-informed and culturally competent therapist, Mikaela utilizes modalities such as DBT, CBT, and family therapy to help diverse populations heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, and eating disorders.She believes in empowering clients to achieve healing through unconditional self-acceptance. Mikaela’s goal is to collaborate with individuals to alleviate symptoms, gain insight, and improve their functioning in all areas of life, providing a safe and supportive space to move forward on their healing journey.

Imani Knight, Practice Manager/Graduate Counseling Intern
Imani serves as the Practice Manager and Graduate Counseling Intern at Prosperity Counseling LLC, overseeing all administrative and day-to-day operations while providing counseling and case management support. She manages client intake, coordinates referrals, and ensures smooth organizational workflow. In addition to her operational role, she facilitates the agency’s Financial Education Group, helping clients strengthen financial literacy, build resumes, improve interview skills, and access essential housing resources such as security deposit assistance and community referrals. Imani is currently completing her master’s degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling and will soon obtain her CAC, with plans to pursue her LADC. She is passionate about serving diverse populations, supporting re-entry and recovery, and connecting individuals and families with resources that promote stability and empowerment. Her dedication and leadership make her an essential part of Prosperity Counseling’s mission.

Justine DiMaria, MS, LPCA, LADC
I specialize in addiction services and internal motivation. I have 8 years of personal and professional experience in the field of addiction services. Utilizing cognitive behavioral changes and person-centered treatment to give each individual a personalized treatment experience. Motivation and change are internal and endless. I strive to provide an experience that will help create the person that comes from within to obtain overall self-motivation, independence, and happiness.

Tracey Otero, LPCA, LADC, MS, MPA
I am a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, specializing in co-occurring mental health disorders, with over 10 years of educational and clinical experience. My work targets ineffective behaviors, habits, and beliefs by helping individuals find purpose and fulfillment by exploring their motivations in life. To ensure the best care, I am committed to creating effective treatment plans in working with individuals and their families. I am passionate and devoted to helping anyone struggling to cope with a substance use disorder by navigating their feelings and beginning a journey to recovery.

Martha Driffin MS, LPCA

I received my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University 2015. I am also pursuing LADC licensure /Credentials. through Post University. I am committed to supporting women in recovery, with a clinical focus on Addiction, Anxiety, Depression. I am pursuing License Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) credentials to further strengthen my work in substance use treatment. Having a therapeutic style that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), a client-centered principals, allowing her to meet clients where they are and support their readiness for change while providing a compassionate, faith informed space for clients who wish to integrate Christian principles into their healing process. Emphasizing empowerment, self-worth, and spiritual resilience, helping clients recognize that transformation begins in the mind and is supported by both healthy coping skills that support long-term sobriety and emotional wellness through faith. Having a deep compassion about guiding women through recovery, encouraging them to rediscover their God-given identity, inner strength and capacity for lasting growth.

Alice Brickhouse, Admin Assistant and Recovey Coach
With over 15 years of experience working within the recovery community, brings compassion, reliability, and lived understanding to her role at Prosperity Counseling. She supports both clients and staff by assisting with administrative operations, scheduling, and day-to-day office needs, helping ensure services run smoothly and efficiently. As a Recovery Coach, she offers encouragement, guidance, and support to individuals on their recovery journey, grounded in empathy, respect, and long-standing community experience.

Willie Hayes, Recovery Coach/ Reentry Coach
Serves as a Reentry Coach and Recovery Coach, supporting individuals as they transition back into the community while maintaining their recovery. He provides guidance, accountability, and practical support focused on stability, personal growth, and long-term success. With a strong understanding of the challenges involved in reentry, he works closely with clients to help them build structure, access resources, and move forward with confidence.
